And now, my review:

If God is For Us by Trillia Newbell is all about Romans chapter 8.  She does open us up in our first lesson with an overview of the book and she has us all over Romans but then she narrows in on the richness of chapter 8.  She has the book broken into 6 weeks of studying 5 days a week and I felt that the arrangement was really user-friendly to move through.  She shares personal insight and asks great questions to spur on thinking and digging deeper, which I personally enjoyed as an Inductive Bible studier myself.   I hope to see more by this author in the future.

And now, my review:

Here and Now by Robby Gallaty is a book about the Kingdom of Heaven.  It starts with acknowledgements and Robby references people that I was learned and been blessed by over the years like Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum, Ray VanderLaan, and Lois Tverberg.  He’s mentioned a DVD series that he has learned much from and I look forward to checking into that.  So he’s taken all that he has been learning over the years and put it together in this book for us.  My favorite chapters were called Kingdom Living for Today part one and part two.  He speaks on Matthew 5, the Beattitudes, in these chapters and I really enjoyed it.  If you’re looking to learn about the Kingdom of Heaven and purpose in your life today, I found this to be a great book.

And now, my review:

Face to Face with Jesus by Randy Alcorn is a great book of 200 reflections that draw us to God’s Word and His Truths.  He says in his book “Biblical Christianity is fundamentally not simply a religion about Christ, but a relationship with Christ.”  I believe that this is what the author had in mind when we wrote this book.  It’s a book to ignite our desire for knowing God and then living in the light of what we’ve just read.  It’s the invitation to come to His Word and personally experience Him.  This devotional incorporates Scripture, a thought from the author, and a quote from someone else.  I really enjoyed this book.
