New Every Morning by Phil Barfoot

Here is the book summary:
New Every Morning is a unique and dynamic devotional book compiled by Dr. Phil Barfoot and written by 118 premiere worship pastors, ministers of music, and Christian university professors across America. Each devotion presents a fresh and inspiring thought and Scripture for the day designed to refresh, renew, and recharge the spiritual life of each reader. The book is designed for private devotionals, choirs, worship teams, and small group study. As a private devotional, the reader can use the book as a traditional daily devotional. As a leader of a ministry group, the book can be used on Wednesdays and Sundays to offer specific insights and wisdom into the discussion of worship and our role in worship.

Dr. Barfoot is clear. His prayer is that each day we experience God’s awesome mercy through this book and be left New Every Morning.

And now, my review:
A compilation of 365 Days of Worship in a devotional is what New Every Morning is all about.  I found it to be well put together.  This author has brought together many men all in one book sharing insights into our walk with the Savior.  I have many favorites and my favorite part of the book are the reflective questions that bring action to what was just shared.  Only downside, for some, they may find the small font hard to read.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from B&H Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.

Big and Little Coloring Devotional by Rachel Swanson

Here is the book summary:
Kids crave constant activities and attention. Adults crave quiet moments of refreshment. How can we achieve both? Big and Little Coloring Devotional engages adults’ minds with appealing biblical devotionals while providing a creative outlet through coloring to diffuse stress.
Let’s have fun with our children through coloring and facilitate their spiritual growth with Scripture. Big and Little Coloring Devotional will incorporate physical, spiritual, and emotional refreshment by providing authentic faith-filled devotionals combined with therapeutic doodling for both the adult and child.

And now, my review:
This book is great!  It inspires the artist in me and encourages my soul with His Word along the way.  Also, it is a HUGE encouragement for my children to do this with me at the same time on their sides.  It’s all about sitting across from each other and creating masterpieces while we talk about His Truths and the Hope we have because of it.  This book encourages us to do it together instead of you do your thing and I’ll do my thing and we’ll meet up later.  I love things that encourage me to be intentional with my gifts (my children) and it’s coloring, who doesn’t love to color?!?!

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
